Colin was an AA patrolman for 10 years after spending his apprenticeship at Austin but decided the best thing he could do was to start his own garage after becoming disillusioned with the AA. He became hooked on Mini’s after owning one as his second car and has loved them ever since so starting his own Mini garage was the natural thing to do.
The garage was started in 1999 and he has completed some fantastic restorations projects over the last 6 years including the Mini Cooper you see opposite. This car he still owns to this day and takes pride of place in the garage showroom.
Colin decided to start racing mini’s about 12 years ago and has his own 1380 race car which he has won numerous small awards for but the best year was in 2001 when he got Second Prize in the Midland Speed Championship and also got second prize for the best Mini Cooper.
